Privacy

This page explains what counciltaxband.com collects. There are no accounts or sign-ups, and we do not sell or share personal information.

What is collected

• Server logs. Like every web server, ours records each request (IP address, time, page, browser user agent and referrer) in access logs used for security and troubleshooting. They are deleted after 14 days.
• Your browser. A theme choice (light or dark) is kept in your browser's local storage. Nothing else is stored.
• Postcode and location lookups. If you look up a postcode or press Use my location, that postcode or your approximate position is sent from your browser to postcodes.io (a free service built on Office for National Statistics data) to find your council. We do not see or keep it.

What we do not do

• No advertising trackers or social-media pixels.
• No selling or renting of data.
